Also i went down to MK to see Slough Phantoms play The University Of Alberta Pandas.
NOW theres some good hockey! The panda's are so fast and never stop going!! they beat slough 7-1 and looked very strong as they carry on their european tour!
As i was talking to a few people they told me they were from Grande Prairie! Which was about 2 hours south of where i lived in canada the season just gone! So that was weird and slightly funny! Pretty cool to see someone from my neck of the woods! Oh Pita Pit how i miss theeee!

Also why i am here. Does anyone know how to go about hockey schloarships in europe. i found a few but didnt know how to! So anyone in europe playing hockey gimme a bell! 

Also i have 2 games this weekend! Both against oxford so lets hope for some magic hands and goal owning! haha!

Hey y'all! Sorry ive been away from my blogging! I have got home to england :( pretty sad and honestly missing Eagles hockey!
So i get home to a bott of a mess in british hockey. Anyone whos plays Womens hockey in england right now will be praying for a rule change.
You see the IIHF has pushed the rule for all foreign players in england to register they must pay 900 swiss franc. (the same i payed to play in canada). Now you see this rule has not been in place in england, but i believe it is else where. Id love to know if people have this same problem. I understand at high end level hockey but we dont even play for anything, except top win a league thats it. so really. players cant afford this and so they will end up playing REC, destroying womens hockey. The only way British hockey can improve and get to a higher standard is by having canadian american european players come over and teach us new skills and hockey techniques. It annoys me that they dont seem to want to have womens hockey progress here. I seriosuly learnt so much in Canada and i cant thank them enough. Now i can bring my knowledge back here. A few players are dual citizens too but still have to pay! 
But i wondered if anyone has this in their country? id love to hear points of view. ENLIGHTEN ME on what this actually does to progress womens hockey.

Anyway over the technical stuff.

Totally looking into scholarships to play in europe this coming season now! 
So with all this going on could be the last few games for many players around england.
Im not blaming anyone i just would like to know how it improves hockey here.

Not much else to say! Ive been home 4 weeks and spent most of it drunk! although i got a job in NEXT! wahhoo.!

So i have got to say hockey  here with the eagles has been AMAZING. and i am so sad to be leaving! :( I have had so much fun played some amazing hockey and mostly ive met some awesome people who i will defo keep in touch with!! Its crazy i was counting down to coming to canada for soo long. And now i have to go home for a while. With lak of money and no work i have decided to go home for a few months and then go to ontario for the summer. 

but we shall see. I have totally enjoyed it here in FSJ , yes theres been some ups and downs but thats life. And i have defo missed my girls back home and so happy to go home and spend time with them! You dont realise how important friends are until your spending everyday with them! So heres to an amazing hockey season in FSJ. thank you FSJ NP Eagles! :) my girls back home dont know imgoing home! SURPRISING THEM!haha classs!

I did watch the clarkson cup this weekend which was awesome! GO BRAMPTON. hahaha i love them. i wish i could go play there!

anyway so ima just say that canada really is incredible. but i now appreciate my great home in England, the castles, the mountains, the history and most of all the people. But canada will always be my second home fo suree!  

anyway heres to the great canadian gameof hockey.

I left FSJ Feb28th at 7.30pm after 19 LONG hours on the bus i arrived in Banff at 2.50pm the following day! Banff always amazes me with its lack of snow in the town and its snow peaked mountain runs. CRAZY. I met my friends from England and had the most incredible week with them in LakeLouise! Partying snowboarding and most of all POND HOCKEY. and of course i wa reppin SHESKATESHARD!

yeharr! LakeLouise pond hockey absolutly AMAZING! ticked that off my list!! although id do it again! I went to Lake lOuise November 2009 and i was gutted i couldnt skate on it so this was INCREDIBLE! i had so much fun that week and totally loved it! The last days i was there it snowed so bad and i got snowed in banff and delayed my bus to calgary by 6 hours! :( NOT impressed but eventually made it to calgary to then fly to Kamloops to meet my parents! It wasso great to see them! I had Hockey Provincials in Logan Lake so we drove there and met the team. Although we didnt win it was an awesome weekend with a fantastic group of girls!

Well its sudenly MARCH! when did that happen! Ok so im just getting packed to go on a trip. My friend from England is coming to canada to visit. Were going to lake louise for a week! CANT WAIT. only problem is ive got a 19 hpur bus ride from Fort St John To Banff! Haha! ironic really it takes melonger to go across canada than it takes her tofly fromENgland! CRAZYNESS.but its well worth it! Pond Hockeyy and Snowboarding and of course getting CRUNK.

So as my hockey season begins to end here in fsjim kinda sad! i was soo excited to come over and play that im sad its ending! But oh well its been AMAZING! We still have Provinicals and Playoffs to go! My parents are coming over to watch me play in Provincials march 12th,13th,14th so super excited! and a roadtrip to Kamloops! So should be uber good! The next 2 weeks aregoing to be uber crazzzy and likely painful! As i went snowboarding last week and strained my ligaments in my knee :( not impressed! So knee brace on and im hopeing i can play good!

So i guess the sheskate hards team are kicking some ass at the tournie! good luck girls!

Olympics wow amazing really congrats to the canadian womens team! And hell yeah id drink on the ice and smoke cigars! GOD dammnit id party so hard they deserve it! So screww the people sayin ots wrong! good on ya ladies! On another note the olympics have been amazing!ive loved them! GO TEAM GB! 1 gold medal yeharrr!

Ok so ive now played for the eagles 4 times! Totally loving it! Im so happy to be playing again!

And i wqas in the paper! hell im famous lol!

Anyway so i was away on Grande prairie all weekend as we had 2 games. Satrday we had 7 players! CRAZY! bt we played really well and won 4-0! i got one assist! not as good as last weekedns 3 but oh well! We had so mch fun and about 45 shots on goal! Their goalie was a bit of a wall! haha! Anyway so we went out partying that night and we all got completly wrecked oooops! Hell we ahd such a fun night we didnt care! I got to hang out with my new team, a bit of team bonding eh! And then we had to attempt to play the top team in our league the nest day! Were 2nd you see! Well i was so ill i thoght i was gunna puke every shift! But we lead the forst 2 periods 1-0! CRAZY! we had a few more players than 7 today thank godd! It was a rough game and very CRAZY! but we managed to keep them out! But then they got 2 quick goals and then one more! so we lost but hell it was a BRUTAL weekend! and i had such a good time! It made my week so much better!

As my Dog, roxy back home in england, a labrador was really sick and got pt to sleep on the thursday. So i was pretty upset! She was my best friend and i loved her so much! When i was little i was scared of dogs so my parents got her through puppy walking for the guide dogs to try and make me see how cute they are lol! she did the trick and we got to keep her! She was the most amazing companion! I cant actually believe shes gone! It sucks cus im over here in canada....i didnt get to say goodbye! :(

Oh well we all move on.

So at last hockey had began for me! after weeks of trying to figure it all out! we finally got it sorted and i played my forst EXhibition game last night! It was really fun! Had a great time and we won like 7-2 so even better! I was jst speaking to my dad back home and it seems they have over charged us again! But im leaving that to him to sort! GOD i hate the IIHF sometimes! This week ive played pond hockey too which is awesome! It feels amazing i think!

So usually in England we get no snow or anything and its not cold really! But then it seems this year england is going through a BIG freeze! people are skating on lakes and all sorts! Im so annoyyed that as soon as i leave the snow comes down and pond hockey is happpening! boooo england! i cant complain though ive got it for the next 5 months! ahahah! so yeah england is at stand still because of the snow! Schools are closed and everything!

Im still job hunting....un succseful atm! :( Baaaad times! But the ski hill is reopening here on saturday so im bein a photographer there! which is awesome cause i want to be a photographer! So if anyone knows of any jobs in photography message me! ahaha!

So todayy we were driving to grande prairie it was 30 below frigggin cold. preety sunny though. we were drivin the highway. our windows were kinda frozen inside so mu buddy driving scraped his wondow with his credit card ahaha FUUNNY. so wed been drivin a while when my friend starts screaming. me and my buddy driving are like WTF is going on. And BOOOOOM we smoked a deer. We literally smokkked it head on LUCKY. cus tbh usually when you a smoke a deer it will spin your car, so we eventually stop and take a look at the damage, truck is TOTALLED. we were friggin lucky. Fricken cops took forveer to come tow the truck, it was freezing but luckily our friend came and rescued us and the puppy.

so yeah welcome to canada :) YOU SMOKED A DEER! crazzyy lckily we are all ok and were extreamly lucky!

Hopefully the truck will be a write off PROBS likely.

So ive been in FSJ just over a week. Totally love it here even if its -22 and extreamly snowy!  The couple o live with are awesome but o already knew that! And they have a great dane puppy called Brutus....hes 4 months and a lil brat! Nawww but frig hes cute and keeps me company! So hockeys still a prolem im waiting on transfer still and basically i think the whole thing is messed up :@ i just wanna play a sport that i love its so stuiped! Oh well we shall find out soon i guess.

I went and watched the FSJ flyers in dawson creek! Was pretty funny and matt (the guy whos house i live in) got 2 goals and played good! was really cool to watch and i enjoyed the game some schweet skills going on!  so its like -28 tommorrow they recon and im not impressed! Im going on a moose hunt...not literally i want to see some in the wild and take some photos for my project! Im pretty stoked for that!

Yeah so love canada and havent really got much to say atm as were not doing to mcha as its so friggin cold eh!

Ooo does anyone know where yo can get University Of alberta pandas merchandise? my friend back home wants a hoodie or something cus her nickname is PANDA! so if anyone knows let me know!

Ok so ive been travelling lots! This is the first time ive had time to sit down and blog!  Banff was so beautiful! Stayed in the fairmont was incredible! Went up to lake louise and all those good things! tried my snowboard out! Hit my head (no helmet!) and got rushed down on a snowmobile! How funny! So ive done loads of sightseeing and really loving it! So we drove up too edmonton and went to west ed mall :) Met my friends tarla and matt and went up to FSJ. its so colllddd! -22 today! Woww im like cold seriously! But its nice up here! i like it a lot! and their puppy brutus is keeping me amused! Love him! Hes a great dane at 4 months!

So i met my hockey team tonight but couldnt practice due to international transfer ect. Seriously they want big bucks for this :| so ima little bit annoyed atm. hopefully it will all work out cus i really wanna play! :| I want to tyr out my new x60 skates eh! :)

SO im finally here! Brampton,Toronto! Got in yesterday night! Awesome flight and good times! My mum was hilarious at driving last night! Wow i hate highways LOL! but we got to our hotel eventually! YAY! Straight to the hockey store....and national sports had a sale on! AWESOME!

So today i went to the mall and that got a cell and all those good canadian things! mmm so i had timmys yum! DOUBLE DOUBLE! ahaha!

Ok so really weres the snow i wasnt impressed damn yo global warming!

I went to the Brampton Thunder Game tonight! Really awesome hockey and loved it! Great girls too! How embaressing i went to meet them after the game and i swear they probably had no idea what i was saying in my lovley british accent! hahahaha!

It was a tight game with brampton scoring 2 in the first! Few penalties for checking! Second period saw Burlington pick up 2 goals. so drawing 2-2 then Brampton managed another goal! Absolutly sweeeet man! Then with 0.58 seconds left burlington scored! i was shocked mann! So overtime came and went. Went to penalty shootout which saw brampton looose! :( But overall an awesome game!

Right i fly to calgary very soon 5am LOL! so i best go sleep!

So here i am. 10 days to go.... Im so excited that im spendin my time sleeping so the days go faster! How stuiped of me i dont think its sunk in really that i wont see people here in uk for a YEAR.

So we had a game, sometimes i just stand on the ice wondering whats the point??......that was one of those days! I stood there in my PINK jersey (hahaha) thinking what am i really doing playing hockey! What does it achieve for em in life?? then i got nailed!! Hell it was one of those games that makes you wanna die!

We lost 8-4 somehow. i dont really know. Oh well over it!

Its crazy how mixed up teams can become. So anyway after my terrible hockey game me and my 2 ultinate team mates went home opened a bottle of wine and well the story ends right there! Tbh it was a perfect night to end of the most weird day! Before the game me and my 2 buddies went in to the "kids"park in which i was so close to falling and doing a sand face plant! Luckily i managed to not look retarded in the kidy park!

This friday is my last training session.....i fear the worse a soaking maybe! (N) haha girls, i swear its the whole wet t shirt thing! And then saturday is my leaving party!I have a feeling thats guna be a messy night! Then final home game the next day! Crazyyyy! but a good way to go i guess!

So nothing much else apart from IM SO EXCITED!

Ok so i got my first tattoo yesterday :) Its like omg actually LOVE IT! ha you know when something so beautiful that your just like OMG.

ha a bitt like when you score a schweet goal in hockey! Its a swallow its on my facebook so yeah seach Rosie Oh Beans Adey and yourll see it !

So anyway i had training last night staright after my tatt so i wore half kit and i actually felt much more relaxed and coach said i played much better without shoulder pads. soo wish i didnt have to wear them they really are annoying! But obviously its for my safetty! Was prettty painful playing though tatt is pretty sore!

Ever get that feeling of training so well and playing absolute crapola in games so annoying i feel like that atm! Hockey is quite stressing me atm!

Ok so my visa came today!!! SO HAPPY! ive been so worried it wouldnt come and finally its here and im good to go! 26 DAYS! im well excited! Canada here i come!

Everyone keeps saying im crazy for leaving my home but seriously if you cant do it now when can you? I want to travel the world see it all and say yes ive experienced that! maybe im just weird.

So i was thinking today that maybe i should stop being so excited! My visa is still being processed and so i really need to stop jumping around!

Its amazing ive been counting so long and dreaming for this day for like forever and now its 31days away! Crazzzzy stuff! So im really excites and nervous for my new team! As ive never played anywhere else but coventry and i kinda know everyone and i fit in good :). so im slightly worried im guna be like the english gorl no one likes ahah.  i bet everyone moves around loads of teams im just weird!

I really hope i push myself though! I have a feeling i wont have a choice!

So i leave the uk on Nov 20th arrive in Toronto (with my mum...we are taking a vacation!), there for 2 nights. Gotta see the falls in winter mannn. Then fly to calgary! Stay there a couple of days! Drive to Banff, snowboard lots and go to lake louise! Plus im staying in the Fairmont Springs! Cant be bad eh! Drive back to calgary then to Edmonton! Then the long drive to Fort Saint John! TREKS. haha! Im so excited for pond hockey! I love it so awesomee! So i was guna see an NHL game but then in seeing the ladies cwhl have games on when im in toronto thought id go there instead! Brampton Thunder?

So im guna start posting videos when i get there, maybe i can post them on to my blog! Thatd be pretty SCHWEET :)

So today was our first game of the season....bad times as it was the morning after my 18th birthday celebrations!

But none the less we all managed to get to the rink! Even though 2 of my team mates had a car crash

It was the hardest team in the league and being an optomistic bunch ...maybe not!! we all kinda had our heads in the clouds.

Although they are a good team we know we can beat them and its so frustrating when you cant get the puck in the net!

Personally i felt exhausted the whole game! Plus i somehow managed to get pins and needles in my toes (for the last few days! not sure why! still have it now!) so if anyone has any idea of a cure??

serious it hurts soo bad!

We lost 3-0 and tbh it summed up the team. theres so many problems on the team it effects the hockey. Its not fun and certainly a chore to go play!

Tbh im glad to be leaving...i just think we have enough stress in LIFE, why add it to hockey? Crazy.

So not a good start to the season! I only have 2 more games b4 i leave so thats pretty exciting yet weird as ive played here since i began! Time for change though!

So hows everyone elses seasons going? Hopefully its better over the pond!!

I hate this time of year, i always drill perfectly and comes to games i cant play at all! Its so frustrating!

Anyway i better get some sleep at this ridiculous time!

Well how to start.

Im Rosie, from england! Its my birthday today and im 18! so finally legal to DRINK! not like its ever stopped me!

Im a photographer but having trouble getting into the industry! So work at the Ice Rink atm!

I play hockey for Coventry phoenix atm. Played Great Britain u18s, North Conference and Junior hockey! But very soon i will be a FSJ North Peace Eagle!

As i am moving to Canada for a year! I totally love it there! I go at least once a year on holiday to various parts but now my dream is finall coming true to go live!

This year i had a canadian girl come stay with me! She was awesome and we had such a good time! So im going to live with her in Fort Saint John BC.

Ive been counting the days down since like 250 days! Im so excited and ready for a challenge!

Hockey is everthing to me, i think its one of those sports which gives you everything! Ive onl been plaing about 5 years and cant imagine not playing!

Over here in the uk ice time is like gold! Theres just not enough ice rinks to cater for all the teams!

So i guess thats it for now!
